H. Jan Schouten, 'Mountain landscape Spain III', 1978. Oil on a panel. Painting of mountains with blue sky. Signature at bottom right. Jan Schouten (Rotterdam 1906 - Gouda 1987). After studying at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst in Tilburg, he settled in Gouda in 1949 as a painter. He was the director of the Stedelijke Musea Gouda from 1956 until he retired. Condition: good, damage on the backside. Dimensions: canvas 77.2 x 100 cm, with frame 80.2 x 102.3 x 2.6 cm.
