H. Jan Schouten, 'Heath landscape', no date. Oil on canvas, unframed. Painting of a heath in bird's eye view. Signature at bottom right. Jan Schouten (Rotterdam 1906 - Gouda 1987). After studying at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst in Tilburg, he settled in Gouda in 1949 as a painter. He was the director of the Stedelijke Musea Gouda from 1956 until he retired. Condition: cracks in centre on front. Dimensions: canvas 90 x 125 cm.
