Jan Strijbos, 'Little boy on bench', 1960-1980. Oil on hardboard in wooden frame. Full-length portrait of boy sitting on bench with blue background and yellow border around it. Signature is missing. Jan (Johannes) Strijbos (Eindhoven 1896 - Merkelbeek 1977) was a carpenter. After he retired, he became a self-made painter in the naïve style and crafted the frames for his works himself. Condition: good, frame shows signs of wear. Dimensions: image plane 44 x 35 cm, with frame 49.6 x 40.6 x 2.2 cm.
