Jan Strijbos, 'Farmhouse with thatched roof from 1890', 1960-1980. Oil on hardboard in oak frame with corner decoration. Painting of a farmhouse surrounded by trees. Signature at bottom left. Jan (Johannes) Strijbos (Eindhoven 1896 - Merkelbeek 1977) was a carpenter. After he retired, he became a self-made painter in the naïve style and crafted the frames for his works himself. Condition: good. Dimensions: 34.5 x 47.7 cm, with frame 55.5 x 67.5 x 2 cm.
