Jan Strijbos, 'My son', 1960-1980. Oil on hardboard in a wooden frame. Full portrait of the first person on the left and on the right a semi-figure portrait of the second person in nature. Title at bottom left. Signature at bottom right. Jan (Johannes) Strijbos (Eindhoven 1896 - Merkelbeek 1977) was a carpenter. After he retired, he became a self-made painter in the naïve style and crafted the frames for his works himself. Condition: good. Dimensions: image plane 41 x 53 cm, with frame 64.8 x 73 x 2.2 cm.
