Jan Strijbos, 'Summer evening', 1968-1977. Painting in oak frame. Painting of a farmhouse under a starry sky. Title at bottom left. Signature at bottom right. Jan (Johannes) Strijbos (Eindhoven 1896 - Merkelbeek 1977) was a carpenter. After he retired, he became a self-made painter in the naïve style and crafted the frames for his works himself. Condition: good, there is a small ornament missing from the bottom left corner. Dimensions: image plane 49.5 x 59 cm, with frame 69 x 78.3 x 2.5 cm.
