Jan Strijbos, 'Six heads that fit together', 1960-1980. Oil on plywood in wooden frame. Bust portrait of six people on blue background. Signature at bottom right. Jan (Johannes) Strijbos (Eindhoven 1896 - Merkelbeek 1977) was a carpenter. After he retired, he became a self-made painter in the naïve style and crafted the frames for his works himself. Condition: good; frame shows signs of wear, such as the absence of ornaments in the top right corner and bottom left corner. Dimensions: image plane 38 x 33 cm, with frame 50.2 x 46.4 x 1.7 cm.
