Jan Strijbos, 'Evening walk', 1950-1975. Oil on hardboard in wooden frame. Full-length portrait of person with dog in nature. Title at bottom left. Signature is missing. Jan (Johannes) Strijbos (Eindhoven 1896 - Merkelbeek 1977) was a carpenter. After he retired, he became a self-made painter in the naïve style and crafted the frames for his works himself. Condition: good; frame shows signs of wear. Dimensions: image plane 42 x 33 cm, with frame 46.2 x 36.5 x 1.7 cm.
