H. Jan Schouten, 'Exhibition', no date. Oil/panel covered image plane . Painting of two statues in a room. Signature at bottom right. Jan Schouten (Rotterdam 1906 - Gouda 1987). After studying at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst in Tilburg, he settled in Gouda in 1949 as a painter. He was the director of the Stedelijke Musea Gouda from 1956 until he retired. Condition: good. Dimensions: image plane 40 x 30 cm, with frame 43.4 x 33.4 x 4 cm.
