Jan Schouten (Rotterdam 1906 - Gouda 1987) attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg after a brief career as a priest and religious teacher in Eindhoven. He then settled as an artist in Gouda and later became director of the municipal museums in Gouda. Condition: good. Dimensions: image area 30.3 x 40.3 cm, with frame 35 x 45 x 3.6 cm.
