H. Jan Schouten, 'The Dance', 1977. Oil on panel. Painting of three dancing people. Signature at bottom centre. Jan Schouten (Rotterdam 1906 - Gouda 1987). After studying at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst in Tilburg, he settled in Gouda in 1949 as a painter. He was the director of the Stedelijke Musea Gouda from 1956 until he retired. Condition: good. Dimensions: 49 x 44.5 cm, with frame 56.5 x 51.5 x 2 cm.
