H. Jan Schouten, 'Old shoes', 1981. Oil on canvas. Still life of a pair of shoes at the seaside. Signature is missing. Jan Schouten (Rotterdam 1906 - Gouda 1987). After studying at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst in Tilburg, he settled in Gouda in 1949 as a painter. He was the director of the Stedelijke Musea Gouda from 1956 until he retired. Condition: good. Dimensions: image plane 35 x 45 cm, unframed 39.8 x 49.8 x 4 cm.
