Jan Strijbos, 'Woman holding two bunches of flowers', 1975-1980. Oil on hardboard in wooden frame. Full-length portrait of a woman on a dark background. Signature is missing. Jan (Johannes) Strijbos (Eindhoven 1896 - Merkelbeek 1977) was a carpenter. After he retired, he became a self-made painter in the naïve style and crafted the frames for his works himself. Condition: good; frame shows signs of wear. Dimensions: image plane 38.8 x 33 cm, with frame 49.4 x 38 x 1.3 cm.
