H. Jan Schouten, 'Still life', 1986. Oil on canvas. Still life of two bottles, two bowls and a spoon. Title on the reverse of the canvas. Signature at bottom right. Jan Schouten (Rotterdam 1906 - Gouda 1987). After studying at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst in Tilburg, he settled in Gouda in 1949 as a painter. He was the director of the Stedelijke Musea Gouda from 1956 until he retired. Condition: good. Dimensions: image plane 50 x 54 cm, with frame 51.3 x 56.5 x 3 cm.
