H. Jan Schouten, 'Guadarrama Spain', 1977. Oil on canvas. Landscape painting of white mountains. Signature at bottom right. Jan Schouten (Rotterdam 1906 - Gouda 1987). After studying at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst in Tilburg, he settled in Gouda in 1949 as a painter. He was the director of the Stedelijke Musea Gouda from 1956 until he retired. Condition: good, top left the frame is detaching from the canvas and there are also small tears in the canvas on the front. Dimensions: canvas 50 x 65 cm, with frame 53 x 68 x 2.5 cm.
