Jan Strijbos, 'Mother on the go', 1960-1980. Oil on hardboard in wooden frame. Full portrait of a woman in green dress holding umbrella on a forest path.Title at bottom left. Signature at bottom right. Jan (Johannes) Strijbos (Eindhoven 1896 - Merkelbeek 1977) was a carpenter. After he retired, he became a self-made painter in the naïve style and crafted the frames for his works himself. Condition: good; frame shows signs of wear. Dimensions: image plane 40 x 30.7 cm, with frame 42 x 62x 2 cm.
