After studying at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst in Tilburg, he settled in Gouda in 1949 as a painter. He was the director of the Stedelijke Musea Gouda from 1956 until he retired. Condition: good, damage to the frame. Dimensions: image plane 40.1 x 49.8 cm, with frame 52.4 x 62 x 4.5 cm.
