Jan Strijbos, 'Mies Bouwman with reclining nude', 1975-1980. Oil on hardboard in a wooden frame. Full-length portrait of Mies Bouwman and a nude woman. Signature at bottom right. Jan (Johannes) Strijbos (Eindhoven 1896 - Merkelbeek 1977) was a carpenter. After he retired, he became a self-made painter in the naïve style and crafted the frames for his works himself. Condition: good. Dimensions: image plane 40 x 50 cm, with frame 42.4 x 52.4 x 1 cm.
