Jan Strijbos, 'Portion of a farmhouse with a thatched roof and shutters', 1960-1980. Oil on hardboard in wooden frame. Painting of a farmhouse with trees in the background. Signature at bottom right. Jan (Johannes) Strijbos (Eindhoven 1896 - Merkelbeek 1977) was a carpenter. After he retired, he became a self-made painter in the naïve style and crafted the frames for his works himself. Condition: fair. Dimensions: image plane 43.6 x 46.1 cm, with frame 46.7 x 49.7 x 2.1 cm.
