Bijzondere originele houtsnede van Utagawa Kokunimasa (1874-1944) getiteld 'Railroad Explosion in Manchuria during the 1904 Russo-Japan War'. Het werk is afkomstig uit de Russisch-Japanse oorlogsserie en bestaat uit drie losse panelen die aan elkaar zijn bevestigd. Utagawa Kokunimasa stond bekend om zijn houtdrukken met historische gebeurtenissen. Hij maakte bijna uitsluitend composities die uit meerdere panelen bestonden, voornamelijk drieluiken. Het werk is rechtsonder gesigneerd, alsmede voorzien van het merkteken van de kunstenaar. Datering: 1904. Conditie: De prent toont hier en daar gebruikssporen, zoals kreukels, met name aan de randen. Afmetingen: ca. 37 x 73 cm.
