The name of the museum says it all: this museum focuses on the work of Theo Swagemakers. Theo Swagemakers was one of the most famous Dutch portrait painters of the 20th century. He produced, among other things, several portraits of Queen Juliana and the state portrait of Queen Beatrix. But Swagemakers did not only paint portraits. His free work consisted mostly of still lifes, landscapes and even seascapes. A large part of his oeuvre was represented in the Theo Swagemakers Museum. Unfortunately, the museum had to close its doors in 2011. MuseumDepotShop aids the former museum in its search for a new home for part of the collection.
