Keramiekmuseum Princessehof

Located in the centre of the historic inner city of Leeuwarden is the 18th-century city palace of Maria Louise van Hessen-Kassel, dowager princess of Orange Nassau, ancestress of King Willem-Alexander. Here, you will find the Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics. The collection ranges from imperial Chinese porcelain and exquisite art nouveau ceramics to the iconic Delft Blue earthenware and work from artists such as Picasso. Its collection displays ceramics from all ages and every culture. The Princessehof is like a maze of salons, rooms, staircases, and attics, each with its own period, style, and function.
