Museum Saba

Museum Saba was located in the village of Windwardside on Saba. This museum made the history of the Netherlands visible and strengthened the ties between Saba and the Netherlands. The collection included mainly pieces of furniture from the period 1600-1850, all collected in the Netherlands. One exception was an 18th-century terracotta pot excavated on the island. The large collection of antiques was unique for a museum in the Caribbean and caused much amazement among visitors. Unfortunately, the museum has had to close its doors and many of the beautiful museum pieces will be sold.
