Museum Vosbergen

Museum Vosbergen, founded in 2002 by Dick Verel, is displaying almost a thousand musical instruments in a historical perspective. The museum is located at the Vosbergen Estate in Eelde. The instruments have been collected and restored by Dick Verel for sixty years. The collection includes Western instruments (including folk instruments), non-Western and automatic instruments. Notable are a Greek aulos (double clarinet) from ca. 500 BC, an Egyptian flute from ca. 100 BC, baroque clarinets from ca. 1730, serpents, ophicleides, a tromba marina and  hurdy-gurdies.
