Amsterdam Pipe Museum

The collection of the Amsterdam Pipe Museum, known until 2013 as Pijpenkabinet (‘Pipe Cabinet’), is approximately forty years old. For a museum this may not be very old, but it is old enough to have a rich history. Three clear phases can be distinguished to mark the growth of the museum’s activities. Presenting the collection through these three phases highlights the museum’s history in all its facets and places it within a clear time frame.

The museum is located in an authentic canal house in the center of Amsterdam. The collection fits into this historic ambience with its furniture from the Golden Age. A visit is therefore a double experience: an amazing collection like a true collector's cabinet in an open canal house.
